Each HBD Foot Valve comes with a protective bottom screen, effectively keeping debris and impurities out of the system, and undergoes 100% pressure testing to ensure consistent quality. With rapid valve closure in just 0.5 seconds, it safeguards pumps against damage from sudden flow reversals. Designed for suction lines with pressures up to 34 ft of head (about 15 psi), it ensures smooth and reliable operation under standard conditions.

Sizes are available from 1 inch to 4 inches (BSP or NPT thread options), accommodating a wide range of tank and pump configurations. The valve discs and body are made of solid brass, while seals can be Buna-N or Viton, offering chemical resistance and durability. Operating temperatures range from -30°C to +55°C, making it adaptable to most environmental conditions.

Globally, this type of valve is recognized by different names depending on the region: in North America, it is often called a Fuel Suction Foot Valve or Pump Check Valve; in Europe, engineers refer to it as Bodenrückschlagventil in Germany or Clapet de pied in France; in Japan, it is known as フットバルブ; in China and Taiwan, it is called 燃油吸入脚阀. HBD Series of Foot Valves are installed on the bottom of suction tubes in the fuel storage tank. Double-poppet models provide more protection with metal-to-metal sealing arrangements. They are recommended for use on suction lines where the pressure does not exceed 34 ft of head (approximately 15 psi). All our Foot Valves are 100% pressured tested to ensure the quality. The bottom Screen protects the valve from debris.
