Gasket for Cam-lock Quick Couplers

Gasket for Cam-lock Quick Couplers

The gasket is a critical sealing component in Cam-lock quick couplers, directly affecting leak prevention, service life, and system safety. Selecting the correct gasket material according to the working medium, temperature, and pressure is essential for reliable fluid transfer performance in industrial, petroleum, chemical, and general pipeline applications.

Standard Gasket Materials for Cam-lock Couplings

To meet different operating requirements, Cam-lock quick coupler gaskets are available in multiple materials, each designed for specific media compatibility and environmental conditions.

Nitrile Rubber (NBR / Buna-N) is the most widely used gasket material for Cam-lock couplings. It offers excellent resistance to petroleum-based products such as gasoline, diesel, lubricating oil, and hydraulic oil. With good elasticity and sealing performance, NBR gaskets are suitable for most standard fuel and oil transfer applications at moderate temperatures.

Fluorocarbon Rubber (FKM / Viton) is designed for more demanding environments. It provides superior resistance to high temperatures, aromatic hydrocarbons, ethanol-blended fuels, chemical solvents, and aggressive fluids. Viton gaskets are commonly used where extended service life and chemical stability are required.

EPDM Rubber is mainly applied in water, air, steam, and some chemical fluid systems. It features excellent aging resistance and heat resistance but is not recommended for petroleum or oil-based media.

PTFE (Teflon) gaskets offer outstanding chemical resistance and can withstand a wide temperature range. They are suitable for highly corrosive media; however, due to their limited elasticity, they require precise installation conditions.

Silicone Rubber is typically used in food-grade or low-temperature applications, offering excellent flexibility and temperature resistance, though it is less suitable for oil or fuel systems.

Stock Availability and Custom Production

For fast delivery and standard applications, we keep NBR and Viton gaskets in regular stock, covering the most commonly used Cam-lock quick coupler sizes. These two materials meet the majority of oil, fuel, and industrial fluid transfer requirements.

Other gasket materials such as EPDM, PTFE, and Silicone are available upon request and will be arranged for production according to order requirements.

Customized Gasket Solutions

When the order quantity reaches a certain level, typically more than 1,000 pieces, we can offer custom gasket solutions, including:

Special thickness designs

Customized material formulations

Gaskets optimized for specific media, pressure, or temperature conditions

To ensure proper selection, customers are encouraged to provide detailed information regarding the working medium, operating pressure, and temperature range before placing an order. This allows us to recommend or manufacture the most suitable gasket solution for long-term and safe operation.

Reliable Sealing for Safe Connections

By combining appropriate gasket materials with precision-manufactured Cam-lock quick couplers, we help ensure secure connections, reduced leakage risk, and improved operational safety across a wide range of industries.
