In oil storage and transportation, maintaining safe tank pressure is crucial for both safety and efficiency. The HYVV Series Vacuum Pressure Vent Valves are specially designed for gas stations, oil depots, and tanker trucks. They automatically adjust valve opening and closing when the internal tank pressure exceeds safe limits or reaches a vacuum, keeping pressure balanced, preventing tank damage, and reducing oil vapor loss. These valves are typically installed at the top of the tank vent pipe at a recommended height of approximately 4.5 meters to ensure tightness under normal operating conditions.

This series of products is known by multiple names worldwide: in English, it is called Vacuum Pressure Vent Valve, Tank Pressure Relief Valve, or Pressure-Vacuum Safety Valve; in French, Soupape de ventilation sous vide et pression; in German, Vakuum-Druck-Entlüftungsventil; in Spanish, Válvula de alivio de presión y vacío; in Italian, Valvola di sfiato a pressione e vuoto; in some Asian markets, it is referred to as Explosion-Proof Tank Vent Valve or Vacuum Pressure Safety Valve. Regardless of name, the core function is consistent: providing stable tank pressure management and reliable safety protection.

The HYVV Series features a high-strength aluminum body, combined with an acetal poppet, brass mesh screen, stainless steel spring, and zinc-plated screws, ensuring durability and easy maintenance. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +50°C. The positive pressure opening is +3 inches of water column (~750Pa) for international markets and +9 inches of water column (~3000Pa) for the Chinese domestic market. Negative pressure activation is -8 inches of water column (~-2000Pa) for all markets.

The operating principle is simple yet effective: when tank pressure exceeds the set limit, the pressure valve automatically releases vapor; when the pressure falls below the allowable vacuum, the vacuum valve allows air into the tank while the pressure valve remains closed. This function reduces oil evaporation and continuously ensures tank safety.

Installation recommendations: cycle the poppet up and down before initial use to ensure smooth operation after long-term storage. The built-in inlet screen prevents particles from entering the valve, ensuring reliable sealing. Standard connection options include BSPP or NPT threads, and aluminum flanges can be customized to fit different tanks.

These vacuum pressure vent valves are used in gas stations or oil storage depots. The vent valve typically consists of two parts: a pressure valve and a vacuum valve designed to be installed inside. It is usually installed at a height of approximately 4.5 meters on the vent pipe of the oil storage tank to maintain the tank's tightness under normal circumstances. They protect tanks from excessive over- or under-pressure. The vent cap and internal wire screen are designed to protect the tank vent lines against intrusion and blockage from water, debris, or insects. A normally closed poppet in the valve opens at a predetermined pressure or vacuum setting to allow the tank to vent.

Important Note: These vents should not be used on an underground storage tank (UST) with a throughput of 100,000 gallons or more per month.

Features:
It reduces oil evaporation losses to a certain extent. When necessary, it can automatically open and adjust to maintain a balanced pressure inside and outside the tank, serving a safety function for the tank.
When the vapor pressure in the tank exceeds the allowable pressure, oil vapor is released through the pressure valve, while the vacuum valve remains closed.
When the vapor pressure in the tank is lower than the allowable vacuum, fresh air enters the tank through the vacuum valve while the pressure valve stays closed.
The international standard for the positive pressure opening is +3 inches of water column (+750Pa), and the activation negative pressure is -8 inches of water column (-2000Pa). For the Chinese domestic market standard, the positive pressure opening is +9 inches of water column (+3000Pa), and the activation negative pressure is -8 inches of water column (-2000Pa).

Installation Instructions:
Before installing the PV vent, it is recommended to cycle the poppet up and down. This ensures free operation of the poppet if the valve has had an extended shelf life.
An inlet screen is now included with the Vacuum Pressure Vent Valve to avoid ingestion of particles from the riser pipe that could cause the valve poppet not to seal properly.
