In modern fueling operations, vehicles accidentally driving away can damage dispensers and hose assemblies, as well as cause fuel spills and vapor emissions. The HBVRLDF-M34-S Series Vapor Recovery Reusable Breakaway is designed to protect fuel dispensers, hose assemblies, and vehicles. It is installed at the top fuel outlet of dispensers or between long and short coaxial hoses. When excessive axial force occurs, the device immediately stops fuel flow and seals the vapor path, ensuring safety.

This product is known by different names across global markets, largely due to regional fuel station standards and safety regulations. In Europe, it is commonly referred to as a self-sealing breakaway coupling or drive-off safety connector, while in North America it is often called a fuel breakaway device or vapor recovery safety valve. In the Middle East, terms such as coaxial safety disconnect and fuel hose breakaway valve are widely used. Across Asia, it may be described as a vapor recovery breakaway or coaxial safety breakaway coupling.

Despite these regional differences in terminology, all of these products share the same essential function: automatically disconnecting the fuel hose during accidental pull-away or drive-off incidents to prevent fuel spills, protect dispensing equipment, and enhance forecourt safety.

Vapor Recovery Reusable Breakaway for Fuel Dispenser
The HBVRLDF-M34-S Vapor Recovery Reusable Breakaway is designed to protect the dispenser, hose assembly, and car against damage caused by drive-off incidents. Stops the flow of fuel on the hose end at separation. It is used for a top fuel outlet fuel dispenser.

It is a type of Self-sealing breakaway coupling, produced according to the standard of EN 13617-2. It is used between a long COAX hose and a short COAX hose. Separate force from 800 N(80kg) up to 1500N(150kg), with body material of aluminum, seal material of Buna-N and Viton, and protective cover of plastic. The quality is 100% factory tested with inspection markings.

Suitable for all standard gasoline fuels, also including ethanol content.
Separates at a pull force between 800N(80kg) and 1500N(150kg) in an axial regular direction.
Max. Working pressure 3.5 bar.
Temperature range-20°C to  +55°C.
